Game Informer Magazine
Six years at one place is a long time to collect a lot of knowledge and hone technical skills
Saying that I learned a lot during my six years at Game Informer is a wild understatement. It was one of my earlier jobs out of college, and I consider it an extremely valuable experience that I will forever cherish. My skills for critical critiquing, time management, pinpoint precision, etc., were all refined during my time here. The mediums in which I worked were also vast! While the expected print layout design was, of course, part of the repertoire, we also had a digital form of the magazine that we needed to design alongside the print version.
Beyond enhancing my technical skills, I gained insights into various processes across industries, ranging from the print of magazines to the game industry. Being on the news side of the gaming world was truly fascinating.
Exclusively focusing on the magazine at Game Informer, it featured three formats: the classic print, the digital tablet, and the mobile format. As the designer, I actively worked on both the print and digital formats, and our coders would then take our designs and adapt them for mobile.
Notably, I personally designed the reformatting for mobile.

I had the privilege of designing a cover for the E3 Hot 50 edition!
In addition to the magazine and its diverse formats, I, along with two coders, designed the website that is still in use as of Q4 2023! While there have been minor adjustments and a slight rebrand since my time at Game Informer, the core elements of what we created still exist to this day.
